After many months of prayer, planning and preparation, The Well is ready to open and begin our life-saving work. Throughout our home, you’ll see all of the special touches our new volunteer coordinator, Patty McPhillips, and her crew have made to create a homey, welcoming space for our guests. We’ve been making good use of our beautiful new laundry room and its stackable washers and dryers. ALL of our kitchen cabinets and countertops have finally been installed and the cabinets are clean (thank you, Emmaus House helpers!) and full of kitchen equipment and linens. Generous gifts from friends and multiple trips to Partnership Center’s NEST have helped us furnish our home with everything we need.
The view from the road is completely transformed, thanks to friends from Frankenmuth Bible Church who hauled out the old broken sidewalk and poured a smooth new one.
Final touches are happening daily, inside and out.
New staff and volunteers are completing training and orientation and putting all of the pieces in place to welcome our first guests. Beds are made, guest rooms clean and tidy … We are as ready as can be!
